ABOUT US >

The Civilian Disaster Response Organization (CDRO), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was born from a dedicated group of volunteers who united during Hurricane Florence in 2018. Driven by a shared commitment to supporting communities in crisis, they identified critical gaps in emergency management for farmers and livestock owners. To address these needs, CDRO officially became a nonprofit in 2019. Uniquely, this organization mobilizes only when disaster strikes, ensuring that its resources and efforts are focused where they are most urgently needed. Since its founding, CDRO has been a trusted leader in disaster response, providing essential support to rural and agricultural communities during their most challenging times.  Read more..
